digitallyimported.com

I've been on many sites now for finding good trance. Basically almost everything on them and the shit I tend to try to get after seeing them on these forums turn out 2 be pure shit. Idk if I have just coincedentally picked some shitty songs 2 try to listen 2 or that everybody is into a lot of weird shit. Now I've got alot of good music right now but if music is commin to me from like my bros friends it seems that the only place that is actually good anywhere else is di. Now I've gone through many sites now but if anybody knows anymore places that either are online radio stations like di and play good shit or r just good dl or sample sights that play stuff like that then let me know bc so far most of the songs i have been told to get or places to check out have been shit. So does anybody know of really really good stuff that is like what di has under their regular trance station and their vocal trance station

Hehe... Personally, I think more than half of their tunes are cheesy.

Enjoy.

I think i listened for a few weeks last year and decided it was rubbish... if you are intrested in good tunes, try Proton Radio. Always something new, intresting, and most importantly good. They have really awesome shows, great djs, lots of talent.

Posted by denny_shibby on May-26-2004 03:22:

Hey personally Im kinda sick of all this labeling songs as cheese because the stuff that people say isnt cheese tends to turn out to be so "not cheese" that its pure shit and almost annoying to listen to. Unless its something for like people who use alot of acid or something Im sorry but di "cheese" sounds good any way u slice it

hey im trying to use proton radio like you suggested and its coming up with all kinds of error bs some help would be nice

try to save target as and then open it

Posted by Radagast on May-26-2004 03:34:

Good DI = Deep House, Classic Techno/Trance, Oslo Nights/Progressive Expedition, GOA/Psy, Chillout, New Age, Classical etc...

When people say DI I don't know why they say it as if the "Trance" channel is the only one to listen to there.

Posted by denny_shibby on May-26-2004 03:35:

yeah save target as isnt working either//// as i pointed out in my 1st comment i like the regular trance station and the vocal trance station

In other words, you're into mainstream trance that usually sounds boring and can and will easily be overplayed.

What you consider "boring" is actually what most people find great on this site.

Now I pick out what I think is cool I dont have to find out it is popular or something like that and then decide to like it, I have a pretty good sense of what I think sounds good and what I think sounds like shit. If it so happens that these are mainstreem trance that still doesnt change that it sounds better than the other shit, I guess I must have a nack for picking out what is mainstreem before I even know it is mainstreem lol

You should be careful, though. Do not mistake the word "mainstream" for "good tunage". You'd be suprised how much you're missing out by listening to tunes that basically all sound the same.

I assume that since you are talking about non mainstream trance as being good, you probably can't just download your favorite songs from just any place so could you do me a favor and possibly send me some through like msn or somethin bc so far the ones that people say on here that i actually either a take the time 2 track down or b easily find them turn out to be not that good so yeah could you do me that favor

Sorry... Don't really have any MP3's on my comp >.<

Currently, my CD collection is not within my reach as my friend decided to drag it back with her upstate.

I'd suggest listening to A State of Trance (Armin van Buuren) on ETS-Global every Thursday... or Global DJ Broadcast (Markus Schulz) on Monday Mornings starting at 1AM on TAW or TS.

See I went out of my way to get winamp so I could get Proton Radio without a fuckin huge hassle takin Electronicapo1s advice and i find it to repetetive, boring, and weird right now. Please tell me if its for people listening to it to right now if it gets better or if its always this fucking weird because i would take di any day over this.

A warning about Proton radio should be put up. Once you've found your "niche" with trance/techno, you listen to mainly that type of music. Proton radio is more oriented towards dark/deep trance... Lots of underground stuff that'll you only probably hear once or twice. I'd suggest listening to ETS-Global, Trance Sphere, or Trance Air Waves right now.
