Nomen Nescio - Spring Sun (Uplifting Euphoric Monster)
Hey trance addicts
I have just finished a new track. I have been very busy and creative as you might have noticed since last week I also posted Universal Emotions.
Anyway, this new track is titled Spring Sun. This time I have choosen to produce a more uplifting euphoric kind of track with a more happy feel to it. Let me know what you guys think. I had some very helpful comments on my last tracks so keep them coming
The track as always is ready for listening at

Looking forward to your reactions!
Greetings from sunny Holland,

Hi Mate,
new track again here,so lets hear...
i think this is your best track so far.very very great melody.reminds me to an older in trance we trust record.but please let the breakbeat part away.it doesnt fit so good in my opinion.bugs the building.this track has much potential, with some improvements here and there i think it has perhaps the chance to get signed anywhere because the main lead and drive in it is fantastic.good work and luck man.
Riialto
massive kick.
like the percs in the intro.
I like the sound of the bass but it's too stereo imo.
think the hat needs to be more panned to the left. too righty
here's the break...really nice, I like that part with the breaks. more powerful strings (I'd go for violin) would fit this part perfectly.
after the break you must put an fx or something to make the part after it more...powerful. imo it's kinda weak.
another thing, the hat is too loud in the main part and the lead is too quite (add another layer to it or boost its volume).
that's all. keep it up
Thanks guys for the first two replies. I agree the hihat is a bit too loud, already fine tuned it for the next version. Will put it up for listening tomorrow I think.
Glad you both like the tracks. Anyone has an idea what label might be interested in this sort of track?
Cheers,

nice track here it defo has that old trance track feel, break beat maybe could go but i like it all the same. Once you treaked it how you need to try some labels. good stuff mate

I am very curious how other people think about the breakbeat section during the break. Does it add anything to the track or not?
damn that is pretty good man wow.

Haha that is a nice short comment..... thanks mate!
I have a bad connection speed so I had to listen to it in lo-fi...
Track is really good, because I feel the main point. It sounds like *classic* trance and I like it. I can't say anything about mastering... 22 kbit stream sucks..
But
I think it's worth to try to do anew structure of "growing" of this track. Bass starts too early and all synths starts without "presentation" - abruptly and straight away. I think it's better to make short a part before main break.
So I think you should "redesign" this track a little, and it become more accomplished.
Good luck
Nice track man, excellent trancey vibe and there's heaps of energy in the mix. I reckon it could do with some more fx, swooshy stuff ... especially when the track drops out to a breakdown. That'll cover up some of the transitions.
Overall a top song!

I have been reversing hihats, claps, crashes and stuff but nothing sounds the way I want. It seems al the big shot trance producers have ultra cool swooshes. Any tips?
Nice intro. That pulsing swooshing sound with the toms/snare really add an organic sort of feel to it.
Nice pads during the breakdown.. p h a t. That breakbeat sounds prety neat. Not exactly kick arse breakbeats stuff, but hey, this is trance afterall and its more about the buildup which I think you've managed to nail pretty well. It kinda takes on a PVD sort of feel after the beakdown infact.
The synths are v.nice overall in this production too.
If only i could get the hq stream to work, oh well, maybe i'm a bit impatient. Great trancer. Good sounds and firm beats, just the way i like them. Melodies are nice too. Quality should be good i guess (only listened to the lq version) One little thing, i think when the climax kicks in (after the break) it now is a bit simple and don't has that much energy now if you know what i mean. Take a look at that and you have a great trance track.
Thanks for the replies, the general idea seems to be that I have made a good track
Personally I like the part after the breakdown. And there is already an extra riff that adds to the lead after 5.10 minutes. I think this track is a light euphoric trancer and in some tracks adding more doesn't mean it will get better does it?
As fat as the breakbeat goes it seems most people like it so I am going towards keeping it in the track.
Cheers!

I very liked place where was pad and rhytm.I think little vocal will be nice, also I think that pad is to flange, when she comes with percs and kicks and loud hats...in bass is also to much flangus...keep goin, very goood work.really old nostalgic tranzy track.I had pleasure hearing that....

the vocals from that song "Runaway" by Real McCoy would really fit into the bit where the pad comes in.
Also, well EQed, right amount of bass for my ears

Glad you liked the EQ'ng, I was also quite satisfied with it.
- some nice sounds in the breakbeat part of the breakdown
- maybe add some sort of stop before the kick comes back to develop more tension. just like a kick/crash and a snare roll type of thing
- cool flying synths in the background
- snare needs to be louder
- after the breakdown, it seems too repetitive. add some variation to structure, bass, percs, just to make it build more and more

| Originally posted by Nomen Nescio Hmmzzz I do not know that song, thanks for the tip. I will check it out and listen to it. Maybe it will indeed fit. Although Spring Sun is more of an old school trance track, back then they hardly used vocals in trance yet Glad you liked the EQ'ng, I was also quite satisfied with it.Thanks people, I enjoy all the different comments! |
Good tune. Bass has to much reverb though and the phaser on the perc gets annoying after 2mins. Nice synths though.

Not really my cup of tea although granted they would fit the track because the main leadmelody in Runaway resembles mine in a way.
ended up downloading a bunch of your tunes. Thanks for the tunage. Reminds me of tiesto.
