Yes alot scan and alot do it on different nights. They scan it to see if it's real not the age so if you've chalked your ID you're fine.

I go to Crobar in New York often and it's hit or miss whether they scan the IDs or not. I think they've only scanned mine once. Usually they just take a quick glance at it.
