Beautiful intro...

I can't really complain about the intro other than I think it is a tad long. It has an excellent vibe that continues into the trance beat. Maybe you'd want to hold off on those melodies and build up to them more from a deeper trance beat. Just a thought, but I'm not at your skill level IMO.

Thx for the comment Four_On_Four-er. Forgot to say the clip starts with the break.

Hello Romi,

This is my kind of Trance and it still doesn't loose it's grip, the "sunset"-Trance, I mean by that
Nice atmos U created, but I really need a break/build-up in this one cause you surprised me with the ending. Means the song structure could be a lot better. (I guess you probably are working on that at the moment)
Rhythm is nicely done, only the snare afterbeat seems to be a bit in the thin side. (by that, I mean it sounds like a hiss-sound)

Hope you'll be working on this one, and check my new one if you like.

Hey Romi,

Nice atmosphere to start out the song. The bassline sounds to come in abruptly...maybe add some effects or a swoosh. The loop gets old after some time, but I like the surreal feel to the song.

Nice work

Thx for the suggestions guys. And websley, as i said in my begintopic, it's just a portion of the break and a part of the climax for now, so yes, the structure is gonna be a lot more different, still working on the build-up and other parts. I have checked out your track websley, nice one.

great atmosphere and melody, but i feel the bass is a bit to loud and that estuera/jonas steur typa synth is a bit over used, but very cool work so far, the kick/bass/percussion combo works awesome.

hi ron

by the way cheers for the review of my track..

onto panoramic..

i love the 'vangelis' sound you use. its really 80's and lush sounding. bass is nice. it sounds dirty! and complements your clean style.

i have very high hopes for this. i think this is one of my favourites of yours.

please please please! change some of the percs you use on this. for some unusual sounds. i think the percs are a bit standard and the melodies are far from standard.. i mean you could add like a ring modulator effect to the clap for example and end up with a wicked sound that would add to the unusal spacy melodies your using..?

when its done please can i have a 320k because i really like this..

Hey Romi

Cool track you got here indeed, though I feel the break at the start is a little thin, those strings are all very 'high'sounding, I would throw in a big low string to complement them. The bass and kick are very well done though, very driving. Keep it up!

nice one Romi.

can't comment too much on the production level as i'm on computer speakers now, but i like the feel of this track. i think the break (which i presume is the beginning intro of your sample) could do with some more ambient pads or effects in the background tho, sounds a bit thin at the moment.

but melody-wise, it's real nice to listen to. keep it up man.

Very nice,
Just been working on one of my own dark and moody tracks and ears were getting tired. This was a nice break and very uplifting. thanks for sharing it.

Keep up the good work

Cheers

i love the 80's soundtracky melody you have going on. like the sort of thing an adventure film would have had. maybe reminds me of the eery soundtrack to 'the goonies' - in a good way!

from what i remember it sounds a lot cleaner than before..

i love the plucky bass. i think maybe the build could be arranged diffently. overall the sound is really full and balenced and shouldnt be played with too much.

could you do a chill version...? i think the melody would do really well in a nice warm chill down track..

i love that melody ron!

if you have time please check my latest thread (klems vs liloo rmx).. leave a comment

Sound

Hey ROMI,

Im new to producing so im trying to learn.
In your updated track at around 3:14 you are left with the kick, and i think they are called hihat sounds. What is that other sound thats going along with the kick in the background.

What does it do for a track?
Thanks

Posted by Romi on Dec-12-2005 06:15:

Thx for the replies. I don't know exactly what you mean technoman, but there are a lot of sounds playing at that time, such as open/closed hh's, shakers, kick and bass ofcourse. Try to use google and search for some of these terms, then you can learn more about them.

This is the embodiement of the sort of sound that I would like to create. Although as in past coments it could and I think will be much better. This is how I like trance. Thanks for this.

Thx for your nice reaction D.J.Animus. Good luck with your own musicmaking .
