Hey Aya, been a while since youve posted anything up. This is the first track I review on my new monitors too... feel special
First thing I noticed is that the bassline is too weak. You could definately boost it by a few dB. GOt a nice rolling feel to it though. Nice groove you got going, but I'm not a fan of that hi hat pattern at the start. Works when you start adding in all that wierd percussion, but before then it feels too bare.
Nice drop at 3.45. The melody is pretty whackey, got a really fun bouncy feel to it. Nice subtle changes to it keep the progression interesting too. Synth at 6.27 sounds a tad thin. Could work if played fucking loud though
7.30 is great, I love surprises like this in psy tracks. Great resolution.
Overall, good track, a big improvement over the other ones youve posted up. Structure and synth programming is way better and oveall a more cohesive track. Mastering could be improved but overall isnt too bad.
he he.
I've been working 2 jobs paying off some shows that didn't get quite the attendance I needed. No regrets though. Got to play with some of the big boys like GMS, Astral Projection, Infected Mushroom among others! Been keeping me busy and taking away from music making time.
What kinda monitors did you get?
I think I have a bass trap in my studio, gonna have to fix that.
Think I added too much reverb on that synth at 6:27, maybe I'll add some subtle distortion and take out the reverb, that should punch it up a bit.
I'm doing the diy mastering. Getting better, might try and find a better compressor. I was using the waves c4 and ultramaximizer, I punched it up as much as I could so it wouldn't distort. Have to fix a bit on mixdown. Any suggestions on Vst's?
Thanks for the input.
I keep all my files, and fix them up as my knowledge progresses.
All my tracks are working canvases.
smiles.

(glad you remembered me)
Ofcourse I remember
Your stuff is the most twisted. I got the Tapco S5's. A very under-rated monitor in that price range imho. Still getting used to them though. Managed to completely butcher a mix the other night since I was used to the pissy bass response on my old Absolute Zeros... lol.
Yeah DIY mastering lol... tricky one but will help your mixing along the way. Indeed a lot of people use the waves bundles. Personally I use iZotope Ozone for most of my mastering needs. Voxegeno do some excellent mastering vsts too... good for adding transparency to mixes. Check them out!
Good work anyway dude, keep at it!
I don't know if limiting the hell out of your track is a good idea. Psy trance in genraly is a couple of steps quieter then other forms of trance. Usally becuase psy has so many Fxs and noise to manage. Ppl don't expect psy tracks to come out bangin' like a hardstyle track. Psy still kicks hard though, just in a more subtle way that. Thats my psy trance mastering theory but anyway on to your track.
It's not working....
Damn that's too bad. I'll come back later.
while it downloads, just wanna say that i've always been a fan cuz u have a lot of talent and self commitment, we need more ppl like you in the scene.
now, this is some piece of work, are you planning to get this released? balancing is very well done in my opinion, FX are nice, baseline is edgy and driven, as any psy baseline is expected to be, bass changes are good, spectrum looks good, i ran your tune on spectrum analysis and scope, i wouldnt say its a dance floor killer, but for a commercial track or VA compilation, i bet they'll be more than glad to put it in, dude congrats, i consider this track done by a pro hand, rignt on!
i hear you use cubase? i am downloading cubase tutorial videos, wanna learn to use at least 90% of its possibilities
reason cant give me enough possibilities, i need VST support, i knew sooner or later i would gonna have to come to this.
oh just noticed, your mids could appreciate some more fillness, i know the song is finished and all, but usually at the pick of the song or climax, spectrum looks completely full especially according to full-on psy standards, next time maybe wanna fill that box a little more, altho, when there is headroom left to fill in the mid section, it adds a special depth to the song, so depends on the artist.
