What Is Your New Years Resolution?

Mine is a hefty one.

1. No more alcohol. Which isn't hard because I only drink once or twice a year.

2. No more weed. This is hard, because I love it, but I am better off not smoking.

3. Joining the gym. It's time for me to stop being out of shape, my muscles are sore when I do a simple task, like running.

4. Eating Right! I'm gonna say good-bye to pizza, chips, chocolate, and fast food! My new diet will consist of fruits, vegatables, wheat bread, turkey, and shit like that. Yogurt too.

5. Start working in school. GPA is dropping! uh...SHIT!

6. Get a job. I'm not going to be able to pay off any loans if I don't!

Anyone planning on doing something beneficial for themselves in this new year?

Shave my beard.

And go snowboarding at least 3 more times.

Eat more, drink more, stop going to the gym and pick up smoking..

That's about it for me.

1. save money. I have had a blast getting everything i wanted... now it's time to save. For what? i don't know.

2. Break my 2003 resolution of not exercising ever again. I think i should start.

3. go back to school.

1) Realise that i'm never going to find a girl that will happily talk/listen to trance for hours upon end, play pool/snooker for hours upon end, not say 'lol' in every other line on msn/text message... and still want to get into bed with me at the end of the day

2) Improve my fitness, leg strength and possibly upper body strength for football/soccer reasons

3) Take my first pill

4) Get a job when i'm back at uni

- Eat less, workout more (yeah, absolutely cliche)

- Quit procrastinating

- Get out to more parties, support the locals more

4. Stop being a procrastinator. Took a while to write this one down.

Whatever happened to simply doing these things regardless of an arbitrary starting date? Why not start them now? With the exception of Mebot and Mr Mystery's posts, I don't see why any of the posted resolutions should have to wait.

Because I promised I wouldn't shave until the New Year and since there is only one day (tomorrow) until the New Year, I can't go snowboarding three times, only once. So that has to wait until the New Year also.

I dunno about all these other jokers though!

Because I was being overtly sarcastic, and besides i'm already doing things I like to do (eating right and going to the gym regularly for examply) that I don't think I need to change anything anyways.

New years resolutions always fizzle and die by February anyways.

$40 that you say that a year from now.

Posted by treeboo on Dec-31-2005 04:27:

i've been trying to do my resolutions for the last month or so, so I don't just fizzle out like I usually do. I'm already working out pretty consistently, but I'd like to work on bulking up this year, which means buying more weight. I want to eat more meals, but less at each meal. For example, my dinner tonight looks like this:

Perspective wise, that's on a 7.5 inch plate. Ignore that to-do list and my list of players I wanted to draft for my Madden 06 Franchise

I also want to finally mod my damn PC Case this year. Wehther i mout everything in a piece or furniture, or perhaps to the underside of my desk, that's a task I've been putting off for awhile. I also would like to get another job, or find double the freelance work. Finally, I want to get a carthis year, and self-publish more of my writing. Oh, and I also want to learn JScript and java when I finish my current asp/php run.

Famous last words. I'll bump this thread in about 4 months and watch you lie straight to my face that you're still on your Resolution.

But ok.
