Lightbulb So I've decided it's time..

to get with the program and by myself a digital camera. Yes, I know I'm slooow.
Unfortunately, I don't know shit about them so I'm looking for something fairly easy to use and nothing too expensive. My budget is around $200. Also, the smaller the better.
Can anyone recommend something decent or at least which ones to avoid?

Much appreciated.

whatever you do, dont leave it sitting around in a club.

it WILL get stolen.

I love my little 35mm...takes REALLY nice pics.

But I kinda want a digital too....just so I don't have to waste like the last 2-3 pics on my cat so I can get the roll developed quicker..haha

although my kitty is so cute! hehe

i just got my first digital camera ~ the Canon Powershot SD600 and it kicks ass!! amazing little machine!

check it out: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0602/0...9canonsd600.asp

unfortunately though it's about double the prize of what you're willing to pay, but i do think it's worth it! up until a few days ago i was pretty clueless about all this too & thought i would need a photography course, but it is very easy to use, it has macro and video capabilities & you can even fix the pics and edit the videos on the camera before you transfer them onto your computer. plus it fits into the palm of your hand! i'm loving it!! oh and i got a 2G memory card for $60 (normally they are much more expensive than that)which allows me to store up to 10,000 pics. and, the pics are amazingly sharp!! weeeeeeeeeee!!

Canon is the best, no doubt, but not for $200

Fuji is the only solution when ur budget is low!

AND STAY AWAY FROM OLYMPUS! doesnt matter how expensive it is!

+ 1 sista!

My 35mm is an Olympus and I LOVE it! Takes REALLY clear pictures! When I decide to buy a digital it will either be an Olympus OR a Canon.

my parents still have our old Olympus, the one using the film, it's at least 10 years old, all glued up and cracked but works just fine
