Paul Oakenfold Star Wars set...

Hi...

apologies for being vague here but my brother keeps going on about an old Oakenfold set where he drops voice-overs and music from Star Wars in between trance tracks. I used to be a big Oakey fan myself and am aware that he has mixed soundtrack stuff into his sets but I can't remember him doing anything like that with Star Wars so me thinks it's another dj's set.

Does any out there know of any DJ sets with Star Wars stuff in?

Would be grateful for some help on this one so I can shut my brother up!!

The tom middleton essentail mix from 2005 had a bunch of star wars stuff in it. dont have a link though sry

thanks for the reply. I don't think it's the Tom Middleton mix as my brother is adamant that it's Oakey style trance and unless Tom had a gun to his head, I don't think he would spin that kinda stuff

yeh toms mix is more of a house mix

i cant think of any mixs i have heard with star wars stuff other than that one. i will have a quick look for u

It *has* to be the Tom Middleton set, you should at least have a listen. If it's not the one you are looking for at least it'll be damn close because it got tons of Star Wars voice overs...

Don't suppose someone can point me in the right direction to get my hands on the Oakenfold Austin mix please? I've managed to find part 2 which is the last 70 minutes but can't find part 1 anywhere.

@something_2_tel: my brother isn't a fan of house music as such..not that cultured I'm pretty sure he wouldn't confuse Tom Middleton with Oakey but thanks anyway...I may check the mix out myself though

19. Skip Raiders - Come Back To Me

Uses a sample from the star wars love theme (i.e. not the main titles theme that every man and his dog knows).

The track was never released and was one of those tracks that oakenfold only ever got his hands on!

He also played the tune in another radio set.

yeh - think that was one of his grooveradio sets

i know oakey did alot of mixes about kids books back in the day, so it may be one of them, but all it is is someone reading a story and oakey throwing some dumb tracks over it, completely pointless IMO, but he made a good 20 of them

Enjoy, its a killer set. Sound quality is low, because its an audience recording, but wow is it ever worth listening. The first 45 min, is just classic Oakey.

Thanks for everyone's help on this so far....but i'm still not having any luck finding the complete mix, have only found part 2.

Would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction to find the download or if someone is willing to trade, that would be cool
