saddams death caught on video full clip viewer advisory suggested
*Video removed *
I posted this for those who wanted to see what happened. This link was from wikipedia. Do Not Flame me on this please as I put it here to share my anger on how this whole thing unfolded. You should not watch this clip if it angers you. I was saddened and angered all at once, my feelings were tumultuous. I cannot make everyone happy here...my message is to convey that we are very lucky to be free, and not to take that for granted and to treat your fellow man with dignity, not like this video shows. I did not post this for people to be offended but rather enlightened by the answer of what really happened. This is not for shock value or whatever you interpret this thread to be. It's a fragment of humanity gone wrong. A window, that's all. Think of what YOU represent and be happy, thats the whole point of this thread!!!!!
BTW, they caught the three guards responsible for this video clip, ponder all that has transpired?!!!!
Ps. I could have attached the link to the video instead, but I cut and pasted this youtube viewer for your convenience.
PPS. Thanks Swamper for moderating (fixing) this post. I am getting flamed, big time.
How's it hangin', Saddam?
HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT
not even cnn has got that....
Re: saddams death caught on video full clip
sorry about all the extra space around the viewer, I am not a web developer, This video and what it represents saddens me that there are such horrors in the world. People will kill each other to no end. We are lucky to be free in this country. Human kind is in trouble, this video proves that savages will always be savages no matter what end of the rope you are on.
this post might be pulled, no offense Mr Swamper if you do,this video angered me when I first saw it.
I don't understand why the guys who video taped it using their phone and then posted it on Youtube got arrested?! What's the big f'n deal?!
I didn't even watch it...
IMHO, gawking at the execution of a human being is disgusting and this thread should be deleted by the thread starter or a mod.
they don't allow news crews in for a reason...taping an execution and releasing it to the public is morally and legally reprehensible.
IMHO, the person who leaked it should face as serious a legal sanction as is allowed under the law.
capital punishment is, IMHO, barbaric enough without assholes like this guy turning it into a spectacle after the fact.
disgusting.
A part of this clip was actually shown on the news ... dont remember which channel it was but thats how I heard it was posted.
Its sad how he got mocked right before his death...sure what he did in the past was evil, but your about the kill the dude cut him slack for at least that 5 min.

I agree Mark, but ignoring this event doesn't work either. I was angered when I saw Saddam being heckled and handled like this on CNN. This is only to express my sadness of it all and make people realize how lucky we are, so no offense please!!

Originally posted by exstasie I understand what your saying, but its not like anyone is forcing you or any else to watch it. If you feel its morally and legally reprehensible, then don't watch it. Where as I'm sure there are tons of people out there who can't wait to see the video. |
There is an outcry about this video....yet no outcry about the execution itself....
No matter the circumstances...we can NEVER be a civilized world whilst rejoicing in the willful death of another human being.
I hope the moderator will shut this thread down!

Originally posted by PressPLay Agreed. I knew this clip was available for a few days and avoided searching and watching it. It is only because of this thread and genuine curiosity I viewed it. Thread starter made this very accessible, but nobody pointed a gun to my head and said "WATCH IT". |

Iraqis arrest men over Saddam hanging video NBC, MSNBC and news services Updated: 1:58 p.m. ET Jan 3, 2007 BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq’s national security adviser told NBC News on Wednesday that three individuals have been arrested in connection with a video of Saddam Hussein’s execution that was leaked. “I can officially now confirm the arrest of three individuals in the case of the execution of Saddam Hussein,” said Iraqi national security adviser Mowaffak al-Rubaie. |
I won't watch the video...
It is interesting however that people are focusing more on the death of this one murderer and not the 100,000+ that he was responsible for killing.

Originally posted by yellow1 I did not post it for ppl to gawk or get offended, I posted it because I am angry at the way "it" was handled, It was terrible and made me furious, your response substantiates the same feeling I had too. People need to see how civilization has become. and to those who want to flame me on this thread, realize the reason I posted it first. don't push PLAY if it angers you all. Thank you!! |
Meh, I don't see the reason why this thread should be deleted.
Anything on youtube should be able to be posted on TA.
It's up to the individual whether or not they click on the link, and really - should we care if Sadaam is disrespected at this point? Sure it was wrong of those idiots to mock the guy on the verge of his death - but who knows how Sadaam could have possibly affected these individuals.
I did not click on the video, no interest in seeing it personally.

Originally posted by fairy godfather Glad to hear that...but maybe you should have started a discussion thread without posting the link...let people seek out youtube if they really feel the need to see the demise of another human being! I still think it should be removed from the board! |

Originally posted by capo tutti di IMO i believe the saying "a man will die as he lived" in saddam's case a evil, disrespectful and pitiful way. |
If memory serves, he taunted them back.
He died bravely, but there is no excuse for anyone to belittle another man (however cruel) only moments before his death.
The timing of his death being near the start of the Eid al-Adha feast just makes the timing of everything appear like a slap in the face to Sunnis.
What a mess.
As for the vid - I'll keep the thread open a bit longer and close it tonight.
