Thought I'd show my face

Hello people, I thought I'd come and say hi - I've been watching the forum for a while and thought I'd finally sign up. I've been writing a few tracks over the last little while and hopefully after a bit of tweaking I'll stick them in the Production Promo section for some feedback from you lovely lot

I use Cubase and various soft synths, still yet to get any hardware (other than some DJ gear) but I want to soon to expand my setup a bit, so you might get some questions along those lines in the next few weeks!

Welcome aboard.
Important thing to remember, some people here are really helpful and knowledgable and a handful make a group of pre-school kids look together and respectful.

Anyways enjoy.

Cheers

Jargon,

Welcome aboard. You don't need hardware to make good matierial anymore, but... it can help a bit. One thing I like about my JP-8080 I can incorperate the synthesizer into my project without the CPU of running a compareable soft synth. It's nice, but that little quirk comes with a price (more expensive, as well as being independent of your sequencer for save states). But, you probably already know all of that...

What time of music you digging?

The kind of sound I'm aiming for is 'interesting' trance, a good beat to it and an original texture, sometimes with a bit of a techy edge, sometimes slightly proggy - or at least that's what I'm really into, whether I actually get anywhere near that or not is another matter!
