Cosmic Baby

Looks like he's still around, or he was in 2006. Most recent album: Industrie und Melodie. Opinion?

Well it was him and kid paul that remixed/remade Cafe Del Mar, so I'd say his done quite a bit

Any good? Discogs says synth pop

It's actually not a new album from Cosmic Baby (it was produced in the 90's, but released in 2006). Just like two albums he released in 2006/2007 under his own name: Die Toteninsel (Zauberberg-Trilogie Part 1) and Caged (Zauberberg-Trilogie Part 2). However, it's a great album (Industrie Und Melodie), beautiful mixture of ambient, synth pop and electro. Sounds very similar to Fourteen Pieces and to his overall style after he "abandoned" trance music.

I think his newest work are two albums he released in 2004 in collaboration with Schiller: Bi Polar and Mare Stellaris.

No. The only version of Cafe Del Mar CB did was Cosmic Baby's Impression, made and released in 1993. He wasn't involved in any of the remakes that appeared after 1993.

I've no idea what his newer stuff sounds like, but he made some fantastic trance back in the early days.

Stellar Supreme and Thinking About Myself are good stuff.

Stellar Supreme being the absolute classic (hard to get here, though)! His latest works are more modest and contemplative, but I like Mare Stellaris very much. Artwork and covers are specific and not produced like everyday releases ...

I like Industrie und Melodie but not as much as some of his other albums. It's not too deep or emotional but nicely produced piece of synth poppy stuff anyway.

I don't think Stellar Supreme is really that hard to get these days because it has been reissued numerous times since '92.. at least in '94, '98 and 2006.

True, there definitely were re-releases I just remember me having a hard time finding a release back in 2002 or so, after my own CD had been stolen.

Well yes, but him and Kid Paul remixed some 80's? track and from that was the first 2 versions of Cafe Del Mar. So again he did have some part in making 1 of the most well known and remixed trance song there is
