Question Special request for my favo song of all-time (Southern Sun)

Hey all,
I figured this was the best forum to post in. I was wondering if someone could help me out here with a somewhat simple question.

I am looking for the remix of Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (DJ Tiesto Remix), that has the lyrics that don't have "Southern Sun" in the chorus, where she doesn't say "than to face another night of Southern Sun". What is the actual name of that remix so that I could look it up and buy it somewhere as it were? It used to be called the Unreleased Tiesto remix, then the ISOS remix, but I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the full song, not the one off ISOS.

Cheers!
Terry

the unreleased tiesto mix has the original lyrics, the closest thing you will find it on is on isos2 and/or the reconstruction of it.

i think that all paul oakenfold did to that song was watch other people make it.

i have it on a compilation album in the car and its the only song that comes with ultra what the fook waveforms ive ever heard. It scares cats 25 miles away with the high feq it puts out.

It's strange because I had this track before back in 2002, the exact version I am looking for...

You had the reconstruction then, because that version was never released in full.

are you guys sure there was never a promo out there floating around with the original lyrics? it's possible someone could have ripped that...

I've never come across anyone anywhere who would had even heard of a copy. Not saying it's impossible but it's quite unlikely.

I might have it, I'll look, but it's probably the official Tiesto remix

okay, so I don't think I have the one you're talking about, but I do have 2 different Tiesto mixes:

Oakenfold - Southern Sun (DJ Tiesto Mix)
-off the Ready Steady Go vinyl single PERF17T <--this sounds like the one you might be talking about, except that it does have those vocals in the chorus.

Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Tiesto Mix)
-off the Southern Sun/Ready Steady Go vinyl single 9 42437-0 Maverick

Those 2 mixes are pretty noticeably different
hope this helps

It could have been the reconstruction... basically I am looking for the version that the chorus says:

Cause its easier to drown
Than to find somewhere I feel sincerity
Then the truth comes back around
In the end you're not for me.

Does that help, DJNeuro1?

the vocals were redone after the preliminary mixes were done
the "first" version so to speak never came out, not even on promo or something

the two versions I posted about are the only ones I know of. I'm pretty sure they both have the vocals in the chorus. I'm not sure what the reconstruction is. If the reconstruction is the one that only appears on Tiesto's ISOS, then I bet it doesn't exist (at least not in any way you would ever be able to get it). It's obvious that Tiesto did several remixes of Southern Sun. He probably played the one you're looking for before any official release. Either way, the 2 remixes I mentioned are the only ones I have/know about.
