so Boa is going to re-open just to close down again?

My understanding is they are doing one off events....not re-opening Boa.

A friend of mine asked Roni Hitti on his facebook page "I heard a rumour that Boa was re opening" and he replied:

Not just rumors !

So, whatever....seems one way or another Roni wants to give Boa another try....and I guess he should get Sean back to play there...

boa - redux = fail

boa = fail

sonic = fail

dont know why they are even bothering to try it again

^yes, it may be a risky move, but with the right leadership i believe Toronto can support another big club downtown.

I loved Boa/Sonic because it was for the music lovers. The music came first, which is what i think is missing in Toronto atm!

and that is the same reason it failed....because it was for music lovers and was in Toronto....people need to realize that for the most part people around here don't really care about music....to a large portion of the club going people going out is about 1) drinking and/or doing drugs 2) trying to get laid 3) hanging out with friends....the music is just sound to them.

Although it's at a high risk of failing again, I think that this time around they have a better chance because the scene is a lot bigger right now.

Any club that can't serve booze in Toronto will fail, end of story. Has nothing to do with "the scene."
