Buying cheap smokes

Anyone buy smokes from reservations here?
I just heard you can get fined for that. Is that true or is it bs?

Posted by shevchenko135 on Mar-08-2009 20:33:

lol whos gonna catch you buying natives haha. yea you can get fined but seriously whats the worst that can happen. Id say I do a lot of things that you can get "fined" for, fuk da polizia

A buck a smoke fine..

Posted by chinamon on Mar-08-2009 20:42:

im not surprised they would fine you for it since you are required to have that native card to be exempt from taxes and duties. without it, you are defrauding the government. personally, i would never buy the shit at the reserves. if im going to smoke then i will only do so if i can support my habit by smoking the good premium brands.

LOL. It's not like they'll catch you/care if they do.

Cops let people off with warnings for carrying half o's of marijuana around... You think they're going to give a fuck about your 25 cent cigarettes?

And hell, even if you ARE caught, you can pay for the fine with the savings you've made.

PS: Smoking can kill you.

+1, I'd rather pay the extra few bucks for better cigarettes.

The best thing to do is get the good ones duty free at the border, or just move to the states and get good packs for 4-5 bucks. Our taxes definitely fuck us in the ass.

Whenever people tell me to quit smoking I tell them I pay for their childrens education and to shattaap

Packs in the US are about $7-9 now + the conversion rate it would be about the same price. It's not as cheap as it used to be. If you go buy the ones at duty free you gotta stay over 48 hours or else you gotta pay duties and that's about 30-40 bucks on a carton. You can buy Davidoffs (Really good cigarettes) at any local convenience stores and it's the same as the ones in U.S. (Unlike the bad Marlboro knockoffs here)

recently i looked in to importing these in large quantity and selling them in canada. i had a sample sent to me from a manufacturer with various flavours (mint, apple, cherry, peach, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry). lets just say i was extremely disappointed and am seeking another business venture. lol.

ziplock bag with 200 smokes for $12.00.....how can you possibly go wrong.

If you buy brand name cigarettes you don't really save that much.

Really? RJ told me about them, and says he absolutely loves it! I was considering getting one for my bf, who recently quit smoking, but wants to start again at some point just b/c he likes the act of smoking.

$0.50 for a raccoon roadkill steak or $12 for a black angus ribeye steak? i'd rather pay the $12.

Posted by SkyHigh on Mar-08-2009 21:38:

I actually started buying native smokes because i though if they taste like shit ill just quit smoking altogether..but the savings are just too good. 10 bucks a day vs 10 bucks a week.

It's an excuse if you want it to be. And it can be an excuse for quitting whatever other bad things you do in the future, if you want.
