John 00 Fleming - Nervous Breakdown [J00F Recordings]

Out now on Beatport, Trackitdown, Audiojelly etc.

01. Original Mix
02. Anton Chernikov remix
03. Airwave Remix
04. Mickey Noise remix

Great stuff. Even Airwave makes one of his best efforts in a good while. Much more uptempo than usually.

Digging the Airwave and Original of this.

For some reason, doesn't do it for me. But if I had to take one, I take the mickey noise mix.

Deep stuff. I think the Anton Chernikov remix has to be my favorite, they are all quite similar however, i'll have to listen to them some more.

Was that...did Fleming actually learn how to do a mix-down?

Awesome! Finally the true strength of his work can shine through. This sounds fucking nuts from the samples. Can't wait to hear him drop this when he is here later this year. Love the vocal sample.

Not that impressed with Chernikov's complete recycling of sounds from Nightmare, but his remix still sounds awesome.

Also, the Mickey Noise remix is funny. It's so overtly Wizzy Noise-ish.

After downloading Fleming's original mix, I'd have to say that although it's a good tune, it's about three minutes too long. The main hi-hat is also a little bit annoying.

However, the melodic pads are beautiful and I like the bass line and vocal sample. The main "trance" melody that appears at 6:10 is also very impressive.

I think that this could be a good addition to a new mix I've been trying to put together for ages but haven'quite been able get the right combinations for. Could be one of the final puzzle pieces.

There are awfully lot of potential that this turns out to be good one. I have heard Fleming's and Chernikov's versions in John's radio show but now I can listen them individually and after Planisphere-album, I expect Airwave Remix to be good one too.

I'm gonna check this one out for sure.

That's what I thought until I heard this track and the remixes. Boring, unimaginative and seriously lacking energy. I don't think I've liked anything by j00f in ages. Years ago he was one of my favorites though.

really? damn. boring and unimaginative may be more subjective but i don't think you can say it lacks energy! huge windup and riff!

like the micky noise rmx, although the breakdown is a bit too long (and not that spectacular) for my liking.

I agree that it's not the most energetic. It heavily relies on the bass line. Tracks with a lot of drive are generated more so through percussion, of which this track is light-on. However, not every track needs to be super-pumping, and John's obviously gone for a different feel with this one. I don't think it detracts from the track at all.

all about the Anton Chernikov remix

Posted by FCB_Fanatic on May-24-2009 22:04:

not his best release, but still a nice release from John nevertheless. I have the impression the original lacks something to make it an awesome track, now it's just a 'good' track. All remixes are nice aswell, not sure which one I prefer. Anton Chernikov makes an interpretation of the track in his own typical sound and the Micky Noise remix uses the recognizable Wizzy Noise sound. Both are to my liking. The Airwave remix is probably the one I like the less
