Questions to any of the Ol' school...
Now, just is just a question to any of the ol' scool edm lovers. I pretty much know what the new blood is gonna say...
But which is better?? The edm scene in the 90s-2002 or today's edm scene? This goes for music, the way that parties are thrown, the parties themselves, the DJing at parties, the way that people "party" at events....others...
On a personal note, to me, just standing around on the dance floor, while a DJ spins, is not partying. Dance, you idiots! In the 90s, if you were on the dance floor and all you was doing was standing...there would be a good chance that you would have gotten your ass beat because you are wasting precious dance space.
Get off the dance floor if you're just gonna stand, pumping your fist in the air....Idiot...And not only that, dance good. Just jumping up and down, like a complete fuckin' jackass, does not constitute as successful dancing. Any idiot can do that. You would gotten laughed at, in the 90s, for doing that shit...But fuckin' impress some people and learn how to dance good, you idiot!
I hardly think anyone would have gotten their arse kicked at a proper rave
^
In the big clubs, in Germany, they would have given one chance to leave the floor. If you didn't, you would have gotten shot.
Yeah good point.. there weren't as many people iced of their face back then. E to speed ratio was def higher.
Dance good? or dance well?
I think it was probably better back then, way back then. Nobody had the internet, and the only EDM to get you through your work week was a few bootleg cassette tapes or pirate radio broadcasts. Then bang, saturday comes along, buzz out, bang out, light up, and just wash away to some stuff you've never heard.
Now, I just go out to have a good time with my friends. I hear most the tracks DJs play, which is no criticism to the DJ, but with the internet and shops dedicated to the newest releases in EDM, it's changed the priority to going out. Oh man, I can never get enough Filo and Peri in one night.
Just watching those vintage videos of Sasha with people in their Alf t-shirts makes me want to test out my time machine more and more.

But back in the 90s, if you were just standing "on the dance floor", there would be a very good chance that someone would say something....and it wouldn't be nice.

Cause, if someone threw a stool on the dance floor of Paramount Park, Extras, Dorian Gray....instant death!! And no need to build a time machine.
I'm gonna start going to raves with a cattle prog....and zap anyone on the dance floor, who is not dancing...
oh i see, you meant the shit clubs.
carry on.

Cause, you wouldn't have said that about one or two of those clubs, at least. But one was massive! Actually, two of them were massive but one was decked out to the max. I though all three of them were nice. Do you even know where those clubs were located at?? Dorian Gray was a famous club that was well known throughout the world, btw...
you are right, trance sucks.
Yeah, nice come back.
Caught you in a lie and you say that trance sucks...
Good one.
you got me
pew pew reach for those lazzors and keep the trance HARD.

Lot's of happy hardcore people really like him...The funny thing about it is that I don't think that Scooter "really" considers himself a hardcore producer. When he came out with "Move Your Ass", in 1995, that song was considered in the techno/house category. Hard trance DJs in Techno clubs like Paramount Park were playing that song. And mosty of his songs are not at hardcore speed. More like trance, techno, and house speed...Though, there are a lot of hard trance tunes that range in the 170 bpm speed...

I'm not German, btw. But as long as don't don't just stand on the floor, wasting space, I don't see how we have a problem. :coo: But "just" jumping up and down...is not good...

But look at it this way. Imo, nothing is more sexy than a girl that can really dance to EDM music.
They don't even have to be that hot. But great dancing can make a girl look even hotter.
...well, they gotta be some what OK, looking....but still...
