LCBO Strike
Anyone hear about this?
The garbage strike will be shitty, but I think the LCBO strike might cause an uprising in Ontario, lol.
I heard about this awhile ago. I was also told that there would be one LCBO open in the city though. That was in Windsor, so I'm assuming there'd be one open in Toronto.
no updates as of yet
I stocked up for the next couple weeks just in case.
i think it potentially starts on wednesday according to citypulse.

As long as the beer store stays open i'll survive (barely)
I cant find anything about this?
please keep us updated, as the LCBO is a major part of my life :P
Unlike the city workers, the lcbo union demands are somewhat understandable. Apparently 60-70% of the workers are currently part time. I'd understand the need to have maybe 25-30% PT for holidays and seasonal hirings but 70% seems like the LCBO are trying to avoid paying benefits.
Does this include the win shops in the Metro's? I usually drink wine, because its so much easier to get to a metro than the LCBO.

Glad I have a wine cellar.

i would cry if i was around when this happened
at least i have my duty free vodka from detroit (which is not going to last long now!), but wine is my thing and i really hate the wine at the wine rack. and the beer store smells like man. sigh.
are they going to give us some sort of days warning or just one day say "no alcohol for you!!!"?

| Originally posted by chinamon im pretty sure there is no minimum stay for americans bringing alcohol/tobacco in to canada (or canadians visiting america) because they allow you to bring it as a gift. http://216.251.47.25/dutyfree/customs.asp |

One of my classmates lives in Detroit and he used to bring me alcohol on occasion, and they started questioning him more frequently and told him that he was only allowed to bring a bottle duty-free if he was staying the night. -Lisa Loo |
