Holy Crap! The new FLS Vocoder!!!

Vocodex is available for free in the new FLS public beta. Suddenly I no longer feel like buying FLS on a whim last year was a waste!

That's gotta be the best sounding/clearest vocoder ever..

That seems very nice actually.

That's probably the best vocoder I've heard. Hopefully they will be releasing it as a standalone plugin.

Re: Holy Crap! The new FLS Vocoder!!!

Has anybody had a chance to download the beta yet? I'm wondering if the vocoder is integrated into FLS or if it will work as a plugin in other hosts.

clarification - after re-reading my OP, I realized it might be misinterpreted as if I'm saying that FLS is a waste. So, just to be clear, that's not what I meant - it's just that for me it was because I didn't need it and never really used it. OK, carry on.

Very very very nice vocoder. Don't use FL anymore (in favour of logic) but the good thing about owning FL is the lifetime free updates..I'll plan on at least running it on my laptop, but I share echo's hopes in that it'll be a standalone too

That does sound pretty damn good.

Sweet, can i has multicore support nao?

I've just downloaded the beta, seems pretty good

OT but ive been writing my tracks in FL for workflow, then using the 'export all mixer tracks' function and mixing audio from Cubase to my mixer.

Sounds like a fart on but its actually pretty quick and im happy working that way

VST version of Vocodex has been released. $99 - not sure if there's a discount for FLS owners, though.

Good news!

Although I can't purchase it for a while, I'm on a budget! The Ableton one will have to do for now.

Sounds nice.

Maybe I'm weird but vocoder on vocals almost always sounds played-out to me. I like using it on drums or other instruments, though.

Sounds good, dont know if id use it on vocals, probably something else that would be interesting with a vocoded effect on it, like strings.

The Vocodex really creates nice effect on percussion as well!

You're not weird lol. I rarely use a vocoder on vocals, a lot of people seem to forget that they can also work with leads, drums......well, anything really.

belated omfg!

Those built in carrier presets are superb.

Anyone got this yet and if so how are you finding it as a standalone VST?
