Any good Ableton bundles?

I want Ableton 8 after trying the demo, but I dont want a cracked copy, eventhough I see its available. And being a hustla I dont want to pay the insane MSRP. Any good Ableton deals anyone knows about, or buy this useful hardware + get Ableton with it deals? Something juicy please.

If you go out to a physical store you can sometimes get it for less than MSRP. I did at Guitar Center, think I saved a hundred dollars or so by getting it with a MIDI controller.

Student discount is about $150 off MSRP ($499) I believe. So far its winnning.

Are you actually a student?

bad idea... cubase student version is the biggest PoS I've experienced in the DAW wars so far. Lacked so much i complained so much to steinberg that i actually managed to get a full refund and a discount on cubase 5.

ableton student copy is pretty much a full copy at student discounted price

you buy a copy then you have to provide proof of being a student and then they activate it on your ableton.com profile

Buy Launchpad, its like $199, it comes with a lite edition of Live, register that on there site, then u can upgrade to full Live for like $280, you end up spending almost the same price but, you get Live and a controller

As far as I know the student copy doesn't allow upgrades. It means: when Live 9 comes out you will have to buy another copy instead of just the upgrade. I may be wrong tho

You're just mad that you suck...

And sad troll, obviously people are buying my music, if the Label is looking to put more of my music out, on a cd compilation amongst some of their best music no less. Instead of trolling people, go build something.

Anyhow back to the thread. So Student Copy has no upgrades? Damn, I guess ill scour Ebay.

http://www.ableton.com/pages/educat...counts/personal

Upgrades - Upgrade your previous educational versions to the latest version of Ableton Live. Standard upgrade prices apply.

As far as I'm aware, they do (EDU) versions of upgrades. And the ableton student version is the same as the normal version. Its a good option if you wanna save money and you're a student.
