Sound card export query

Ok i'm just wondering in relation to sound cards;

Suppose you have a project in Cubase and ready to export. If you export the song to the computer with a cheap enough soundcard and then export it again with a high quality soundcard, does this effect the file?

In essence what im asking is, is it cubase that interprets all the elements of a track and exports them or is it the soundcard that interprets the track and depending on the soundcard it will give its own unique interpretation of the project. therefore the more high end soundcards would interpret the real time exporting with a higher audio quality??

or is the high end soundcard merely for top quality monitoring when setting the levels in a track?

High end soundcards are merely for monitoring.

The exporting happens internally, this does not depend on your soundcard.

Your sound card is for ADC and DAC. Assuming you have no outboard synths or effects, the processing of your track is done all in the digital domain, and it should not affect the sound of the rendered file. Some sequencers, such as Reason, do not even require a sound card to render.

If you have Reason try turning the sound to "off" in Preferences and then rendering; it works just as usual.
