Skyflux - Path (Original Mix) - 135 BPM Uplifting Trance.Youtube/SoundCloud
Finally done , after some hours spanned over several days of pounding on this track.
Made using FL studio 9 , with my handy VSTs as usual.
This tune has a very dark , melancholy feeling to it , it's probably one of the saddest and most depressive track I have made.

And.. Don't forget to leave comments!! They will be most appreciated
I really love this mood, definitely my kind of track. It's got a balearic feel to it due to the guitar. I think it could have been mixed better however, things arent as expressive as they should be except for the guitar. It kinda seems like theres a low pass filter over the whole track around 5khz except the guitar.
But as far as musically it really grabbed me. I might want to remix this if you would like, I love this kind of mood.
Keep up the good work
Cheers
Awesome stuff here man, I just feel that the kick is being drowned out a tab bit by the bass, maybe a longer decay on the sidechain? Nice guitar sound, but again I feel some of the percussion could stand out a bit. Im listening to the sound cloud one, Great track
Thanks for the comments guys , and yes the mixing in this song isn't very pretty , in fact I just made sure the entire track wasn't clipping , allowed the significant instruments to stand out and then exported it as mp3.
Yep the kick is kinda clashing with the bass , probably the low bass , might work on that later.
@Nightshift , if you want to remix this , feel free to go ahead , but honestly speaking.....
I don't know how to make remix packs or MIDIs.... Yep it's an ugly truth.
Tools>macros>prepare for midi export
Then export whichever midi pattern you want as if your exporting an mp3, I would also export a wet/dry of each pattern that you think would come in handy in the remix
Really good to see something new from you Icey Ice! And I liked this, certainly not "depressive" I'd call it soothing but still uplifting, and musically very cool as Nightshift says. The highs could definitely be sparklier and the guitar needs to be levelled down with some EQ tweaks to make it drone less in the mid range. Solid track man
For what it's worth, I think the track would work well with a more progressive style and laidback beats. Especially the padwork and piano.
Arrangement wise it sounds like your typical trancer. Perhaps you could try building it up from an Ambient opening or something. Unless of course you plan to release it on some trance label
Anyway, some cool ideas. Not really my style, but well done.
Piano seemed a little harsh and the kick a little too subdued, listening on headphones. Other than that, however, this song is total beauty. Seriously wonderful work, man!
