Anakratis - Duemilanove (Rough Draft) [WIP]

Hey guys,

Here is a song I'm currently working on

All feedback is accepted, as I want to know what the crowd likes so I can make this song better.

Thanks!

i think this might be the best work i've heard from you. nice melody, no complaints there.

I really like where this is going so far. When the first small drop happens at 2.26 it really works well, although I can see a lead line taking it to another level. I can also see a sweet chord change soon after the track finishes now so that the bassline would go from playing Ab,Bb then C to then playing F, G then Ab.

I think the mix is still being hemmed in by the BX5s but there's little you can really do about that right now!!

You've probably still got a ton to add but some extras sweps and swooshes in the intro would probably lift the feel a bit too.

Excellent work so far though, I'm really looking forward to hearing the final version!

@msz Thanks man!

@tehlord Yeah, these monitors aren't very effective. Gonna have to think about getting others, but I'm glad that you like it, and I'll look into those chord progs!

Hey man, well this is gonna be huge I can tell already! I'm not sensing much in the sub bass range but apart from that its a really nice full sound, great synths - very Sophie Sugar sound going on here. This is a buildup yeah? The melody is strong enough to continue on into the main section, you'd just need to add some extra chord changes or maybe a high pad counter-melody to differentiate it. Great start!

This is some serious effort going on in this track already with great sound and the way you structure this track - well done buddy.

You have so much flexibility build into this first part that you shouldn't have any problem with development of the rest of this track.

I would use tehlord ideas to spice up your track.

Well done and keep them coming M.

Cheers
