Paul Oakenfold - Tranceport

I can consider myself an educated trance addict; however, it was only the first time I've heard Tranceport, released in 1998, today.

I consider this experience a life altering experience... I thought that maybe the trance of today HASN'T lost its quality compared to then.

Then again, after listening to Tranceport today, my views have fully changed. I really wish I was as hardcore of a trance addict back then as I am now.

Not saying that tracks like Tilt vs. Paul van Dyk - Rendezvous (Quadrophonic Mix) and Lost Tribe - Gamemaster have lost their magic -- mind you... but, I don't think that I'll be able to find such amazing tracks on amazing compilations.

I've already stopped playing Ligaya because of this CD!

Perhaps John 00 Fleming's White Label Euphoria is similar, but it's still nowhere at Oakenfold's level back then.

Oh yeah, I'm now playing Ascension - Someone... it's so beautiful.

Yeah true. You can't find tracks such perfect as they were. Tranceport is THE BEST trance album ever in my opinion and nothing is gonna be like it....

This album was the first trance DJ mix I ever bought. Cleary a landmark in not only my book, but also the genre. I don't care what anyone thinks of anyone, if you like trance, you HAVE to like Tranceport.

yeha its the greatest mix compilation ever. ive bought every tracks from the mix on cd since there all classics i doubt it will ever be topped.

Thats the cd that got me into trance, ill never forget it. Gamemaster was the song for me that woke me up and showed me the light..

yep.. truly the best CD of all time for trance.. it rocks.
From the intro to the last track, it simply rules. it was responsible for getting me into trance, and i'm sure many other people as well.

and, as has been said, it has the gamemaster on it, my favorite song ever.

a close second for me was DJ tiesto - magick 6, but nothing will ever come close to tranceport 1 by oakey.

i hope to collect all the tracks off both of these CDs.

if you like that cd so much, you might want to check out his "goa mix: silver" it's alot better IMO.

Has to be one of the champ Cds of all. Its been in the front of my CD case forever, After the first time i heard it start to finish i knew trance was the music for me. Its the reson alot of the people i know have gotten into the scene.

(Miami), and more ...the key words here
are PROFESSIONAL, and CHILLOUT.

Nothing compares to chilling than Oakenfold...
melodies, relaxing, letting your mind go,
reading a book ....doing work.

Great stuff...

However, for party purposes, I'm more into
Ferry Corsten and Tiesto ...more enthusiastic,
beat is more exciting and fun ...

all of oakey's mix cd are brilliant. the ibiza isn't my type of music but its still great. tranceport is def the best he has done... the original of gamemaster is fanfuckentastic!
