Gouryella - ligaya ( FOR ALL THOSE ON MY SIDE)

I dont like this song...who else doesnt...ALL i see in the song..is it tryin to be extremely epic..and in the end does not succeed in having the magic as gouryella tenshi or wahalla. It tries to much in being a william orbit - barber adagios for strings and a Souvenir de chine by fire/ice. I dont know if im growing out of trANCE...although i love ISOS3...But this song fails miserably at having the magic of many other epic tunes this year. Im not starting any flame war..because im giving my reasons for dislike which are >>>trying to hard to be epic...which in my eyes hurts the song.

I don't think this song, carries, the 'amount' of magic, that the old Gouryella songs, carried, and still do. However, this song, I think, isn't that bad... its still pretty cool, but I think that it will be very hard to re-create the depth that I found in the last 3.

i love and respect Ferry..but i agree with Speed here...this track is not all that good...it doesnt suck...but its nothing to flip out over and make 40 threads about..like has been done on TA lately....its "OK"......

Finally! I have the exact same feelings, but was intimidated by loads of "LIGAYA IS EPIC" threads. Its not that great, Tenshi, Gouryella, and Walhalla all rape this track in their sleep!

people will hype it up just because it is Gouryella. I don't give these things much thought anymore because this happens with every "major" producer. DJ Tiesto, System F (i know it's Ferry), etc.... u know. I said this befoer and I'll say it again. There are too many dickriders on this site. Kinda like another forum.

I'ts a nice song, but way overhyped because its "gouryella".

Count me in. I've said from the beginning that this song is nothing special...or at least I can't seem to find what all the hype is about. To me, it's just more of the same old stuff. I was real disappointed when I first heard it. It still does nothing for me.

im afraid you can never experience music properly at home on some petty mp3. i didnt really love ligaya as such, but when i heasrd guy ornadel spin it at godskitchen it instantly become one of my faves, only to be experience in the flesh rememebr the music is never really designed for asll your little illegal digitised versions

i agree when people say its OK but not epic...maybe people that dont like it expected too much from gouryella and for the people who do like it just because its from gouryella they hyped it up too much =/

Yeah, i have to agree.... Ferry corsten is without a doubt one of my top 10 favorite dj\ producers on the planet..... but this song is just overrated.. There may be a valid point in that u need to hear it live to get the full effect, and after having seen several live performances, i have to agree... But this song just doesnt seem to have what it takes to be considered one of the best songs ever, or Epic for that matter. It just sounds like a typical trance song that doesnt sound like much effort was put into it.. But nonetheless ferry is still the fucken man.

I'm in agreement with the majority here on Ligaya, it's a good track, but epic? massive? I don't think so.

I still think that some well done remixes have the potential to save the track (much like AvB's 2 did for Walhalla IMHO) but the original mix of Ligaya just doesn't have the magic that the original 3 tracks, particularly Gouryella & Tenshi, brought to the table.

At first I really didn't like Ligaya. But then after hearing it a couple of times I started to like it. I don't think its epic, to me its just a good tune, it's OK. I don't understand what all the fuss is about.
