Posted by jonthedentist on Aug-25-2011 12:17:

wow that lipstick really suits me! (not sure about the earing though- a bit too baroque!) so i wouldnt give up your day job (if you have one!) the tracklisting by the way is on the soundcloud link, but for those who NEED it:
1. Haze - Rollers instinct
2. The Mutant - Roller's instinct (DJ Trace)
3. Metropolis - Adam F
4. Edtrafienical - Ed Rush
5. Lost and found - ESC
6. Curved Surfaces - IBS Faction
7. Through the Loop - Pendulum
8. Help it Busy - (ARTIST UNKNOWN)
9. Crackball - Ed Rush
10. Full Circle - Rockwell
11. Circles - Adam F
12. Virtual affair - Mecca
13. Still Grey - Pendulum

Ps. i don't get anything for these mixes i post on here- its not for self promotion either (As im retired for the umpteenth time). so is there any need for the constant and immature bitching? If you dont like the stuff no one is forcing you to listen to it are they? or are manners impossible for some people on here???

Sounds like you're the only one bitching right now.

so you couldnt see the ridiculous picture posted- neccessary is it? thats what i was talking about. Its totally pathetic when this is supposed to be a music forum!

I would venture that it's fair to say you brought the treatment you've been receiving upon yourself.

You seem to not recall that you currently berate 95% of the members of this forum. Did you also forget that you refused to post a tracklist a few weeks ago because you thought your reputation preceded itself? Hundreds of other members of music forums that watched your epic meltdown refer to you as a washed-up douchebag who was never really any good. Their words, not mine.

Do me a favor, try clicking around in the other mixes of this forum. Each thread follows a specific formula:
Mix title (required)
Genre (required)
cover (optional)
description (optional)
tracklist (required)
link (required)
link information (size, length, bitrate) (optional)

The trick to not being made a complete laughingstock in this forum is entirely based on making the listener's life enjoyable, by accepting criticism as constructive and following the rules. You seem to not be able to listen to what anybody has to say, and only decide to fling poorly worded insults at people. So I propose that you follow the rules, or fuck off.

Thanks for posting the tracklist

as usual with certain people on this forum- you just make your response aggressive and rude- whatever, the scurge of todays society is rudeness- there has been no 'meltdown' at all- just a bit of fun that clearly upset certain anoraks! as for 'rules' if i was breaking any rules on here then im sure the moderator would tell me so and thus far that has not been an issue. I do think track listings are a waste of time and its got nothing to do with your belief that i think my reputation proceeds me (though its ridiculous to suggest, by anyone, that i wasnt much good, particularley as i had a very full diary right up until when i retired). I dont do listings because a lot of the time i i simply pick trax at random from what im sure you can appreciate is a massive cache of mine.i dont always know what i dropped in the mix! i do em for fun so if you dont like mixes with no tracklistings then just dont listen to em. there are patently no hard and fast rules to this. Fuck off you say? no i dont think so.I have had an excellent number of plays and gained quite a few new old friends on facebook from posting mixes on this site. So no, i wont be fucking off, ill be hanging around, posting mixes relentlessely, with or without tracklistings, as is my pleasure! As i say if you dont like em- well i could care less, they are there for the few who do remember when there was a great clubscene (the 5% on this forum who arent utter wankers like yourself - clearly!). I have a tougher skin than you could possibly imagine contrary to what you might think. that said, the idiots who went on to my wikipedia have had a block put on what they wrote- by wikipedia- proving that you can take it too far. I also have no issue with constructive criticism- but then again - I wont be lsitening to it, because like anyone with years of experience i dont think i need any tips thanks- but if it makes YOU feel better about yourself then say what you want- to yourself and your anorak friends! new mix coming in a week or so!
ps. douchebag???? and i thought i was old!!!

For the record, there is no "rule" about posting a tracklist, it's just a guideline that is obviously recommended in order to get more people to listen to the mix in question. It is definitely the norm here on TA to post one though.

If Jon doesn't want to post one, he doesn't have to. He should be aware though, if he doesn't post one, people will hassle him about it, like has just happened.

So it's up to you on this one, Jon

Try to make the title of your thread clear to other users, by mentioning the genre of your mix. Also, a tracklist will help people figure out if they're interested in listing to your mix. Titles like "My New Mix" with no tracklist will almost certainly get no downloads, unless you post enough mixes for people to already have an idea of what you play.

There is no explicit statement that anybody posting a mix here MUST provide a tracklist, but it's clearly stated that you probably should if you want people to listen. Clicking in one or two threads in this forum will reveal it is a common and requested practice of providing tracklists. Arguing with that logic is simply moronic, which is the route Mr. Dentist took.

I don't disagree with you, Zip. I think everyone should be posting a tracklist with their mixes. I can't make them help themselves though, and I think it's a but unfair and unnecessary that someone should be told to do this "or fuck off".

Implying that a user has poor manners and are constantly bitching because people want him to post the tracklist is unfair and unnecessary in my opinion. We are probably going a little too far, but his treatment of us isn't any better.

I don't necessarily disagree with you there either. Some people aren't as used to the internet as you or I, it would seem

A few sage points.

1. If 95% are wankers, why post?
2. The fact you play any random record would explain the flow of your sets.
3. It was a meltdown, about 5 forums likened it to Fukushima.
4. You mention taking it too far, you threatened me via PM and everyone in a whole thread, both of which are kept backed up just in case you are silly enough to try such things.
5. What happened to your remix album on Track it Down?
6. What happened to your ebook?
7. How did you cope mixing the DnB Riddims, when 4x4 mixing seemed difficult?

ok - i am trying very hard now to be nice- i admit i was a bit full on in the past. can we not just put it all behind us. as you can see i am posting tracklists and also contributing on other threads. i am drawing a line under the arguing and name calling - fine if you want to criticise but can we keep it from being nasty and personal? there are clearly, from my soundcloud stats, a number of people downloading from here and i would like us all to call a truce. i had a tooth out today (ironically!) and i just dont have the stomach for pointless fights.

Fair play man, peace.

furthermore- i should never have been aggressive. its one thing being opinionated but being a meathead yob, that isnt me so i apologise for that.

Jesus mate, never thought I'd see the day!

Tbh you've just gone up in my estimations ten fold. Takes balls to say sorry, in turn understand I am sorry for my role in the trolling you suffered. To be frank though I reckon you'll come out a lot better for it.

For one I'm in the middle of reviewing your summer house mix.

You should also partake in the production area of the forum, maybe get some productions rattled off, retired or not you can still enjoy making music.

I note on your picture you appear to have Event ALP5's, how do you find them? They were pretty short lived speakers I thought about buying at one point.

ill listen to a garage set if you do one, but i'll still call you a cunt. If its good enough for my mother, it is good enough for you.
