Ipad Audio - > Ableton

I'm using an ipad with some instruments and I've been plugging the 1/8th inch jack but i heard you can send audio over wifi...

ive only found midi over wifi apps and other instruments....


any suggestions?



why havent they made an ipad os emulator yet?

apple tv and optical out to a dac maybe? or maybe airport express works also with a dac? not sure.

you can record from rme UCX to ipad and it is actually pretty flawless.

It is a direct connection to the soundcard.

i dnt want to use the ipad as a recorder, i want to record sound from ipad apps without using the stereo jack

ik media has a tool that allows you do to that.
And alesis dock.

Maybe there are new things. I've never toyed with that aspect.

There is a real lack of apps for IOS. I think a lot of it has to do with Apple not wanting internet streams being recorded and loaded in to Itunes.

Sound recorder HD allegedly does what you need (record from the internal audio output).

I read somewhere though that due to the way IOS works, you can't record and monitor at the same time, but I think Roland made an app specifically for their hardware that does it so it must be possible.
