Distortion plugins
any new ones on the go?
Ive got...
Kombinat - fairly vicious that one
Saturn - really good saturator, some nice distortion too
SDRR - find this one fairly subtle, sometimes nice on kicks for that midrangey boom
Ohmicide - cant get on with that fiddly gui, great sound tho (wish theyd make a new one with better gui)
any other good ones? Saturn gets most usage but wouldnt mind a different flavour...
I must go back and give Fxpansion Maul another try out, really like their plugs
SoundToys Decapitator!!! Devil-loc is pretty cool, too.
FXpansion Maul is a nice multi-band alternative to Ohmicide. with a much better interface.

What about stomp boxes?
If only they made Reason's Scream 4 a VST. I still haven't found anything quite like it.

Yeah you're right, I don't use it either for the same reason. But I know of a few guys that swear by it and it does have it's own character as far as distortion plugs go.
Logic's clip distortion is also another one that really has no equivalent, but yeah you need to be a Logic user.
Im demoing PSP Vintage Warmer 2 at the moment, might buy it, its heavy but it has a mix knob so you can blend it in - does something nice to the drum bus

Just snagged Camel Phat for $40 on KVR
If you have Bitwig I really like the sound of the built in Distortion plugin for the overdrive, put the Reaktor ensemble I have been using for that to shame.
