Propellerhead Figure (ipad app)

bought this morning for �0.99 - you can record an 8 bar loop max, has drums, bass and a lead
you can record and then when you interact with the screen in play mode your playing "takes over" until you stop interacting whereby it goes back to playing what you recorded...not the best explanation but its cool for messing around, the quality thru the shitty ipad speaker sounds ok

anyone recommend other apps for music making on tablets? id like something maybe just as a sketchpad

Im surprised Ableton havent got into this market yet - some sort of sketchpad which you could send over to Live would be interesting!

jamming for about 30 mins there on Figure, changing scales, drum kits etc... really fun and takes you in all sorts of different directions and made me realise i have to start working differently on the computer to try and get different rhythms going.....

Check out Rebirth...

I think Rebirth for ipad is more fun. I've seen few videos and it's a nice app. I've been using it, since Pentium 2 on my 300mhz PC. Rebirth is such an amazing synth / drum machine, you can make some great tracks with it, add some effects, synths and it's a great addition to any setup. You can also get rebirth for free for your PC, just google 'rebirth download'.
