He actually does play a lot of the ISOS classics. However, I dont particularly enjoy the 2025 modern revisions he made to the classics. At least they mostly resemble the originals and better than the other crap out there. but they dont hold a candle to the originals
refreshing to hear 2025 versions? a bit. almost all of the oldies we know have been edited and have a modern style baseline and synths.
LSG Netherworld, Southern Sun, Open Your Eyes, Mercury & Solace, Eugina, Reachers Of Civilisation and more have been modernized
Well, you know, at this point I'll take what I'm given. I always listen through the old ISOS compilations during the summer. It's a nice nostalgic trip. You can see it on the audience that they don't really have any emotional connection to the tracks.
47:50 - Tijs in tears?
Someone said he was in Tijs in the comments section too. I personally didnt notice, I'll have a look again.
His 2025 Silence ISOS Remix was better in the first half of the track, but the later half kinda sounds horrible. I dont like what he did with the synths.
edit: wtf happened? He set his video to private. What's he afraid of, everybody was praising him for his old school set in the comments section. Why the need to hide that?
edit 2: maybe he got copyright strike..... ?
It's still on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tiesto/videos/706653015652068
I totally understand the appeal of this set - dance tracks with big drops and hypnotic female vocals. The set isn't trash, but it's not my cup of tea either. Based on the tracklist, Tiesto hasn't forgotten his roots, though,

I was out partying to John Digweed on Sunday night and was VERY surprised at hearing this set on Monday afternoon! I mean, I really didn't expect to hear Netherworld in there.... but looking at some of the young faces in the crowd, many of these tracks being older than them is quite the trip

I've listened to this a few times. I wrote a super long review after the first and deleted it. Listened again, wrote again, deleted it. Then listened a third time and enjoyed the set for what it is. When I saw he was playing at Club Space in January, this is what I had in mind I might hear. If I were there and he played this set, I would've gone gaga. A touch, a sliver, a flavor of the past. Seeing it, hearing it on YT like this, it's alright but not the same. It brings back feelings. He shed tears. I shed my own deep inside somewhere. Always a G, but fuck EDC.
Now how about a special Magik set? ISOS is cool but Magik was the more party hard stuff imo. Also how is anyone able to view it on youtube? It's stll private for me.
