Hoopoe - Digital Trip [May 2025 Progressive/Trance]

Following on nicely from Jack and Dave's recent mixes, this one raises the tempo a little more. Kicking off at 134 and rarely letting up, shifting through phases of light and dark. You wanted longer so you've got it.

Nice mix, a lot of tracks I have myself but haven't yet put in a recorded set. Also a couple I managed to miss that I will be grabbing - the Sleep D remix and the Cybernet track stand out in particular. The energy level was consistently high right from the word go and things flowed smoothly.

If there's one thing that holds this back from being "excellent" instead of "very good", it's that I didn't get any particular sense of a journey. The pacing was breathless and I note that you rarely seem to make much use of intros - you tend to slam tracks in right when the bassline drops. One or two moments to draw the flow out and pause for breath might counter-intuitively make the bangers stand out a bit more.
