Retrospect Look: darktremor's top 400 trance tracks of all time

I remember viewing this guy's list on listology.com probably nearly 20 years ago. He really opened up my mind. Though I thought he was kind of an inconsiderate elitist at the time, I could not help but dig into the tunes he was listing. Listening to the entire thing long ago, I found lots of gems that opened lots of different styles and artists. As hungry as I was, I started to enjoy his quirky personality and passion for trance.

Looking back now, I can still say that it's a solid list. However, I personally dont agree with every tune on there listed at the top.

PVD's Love Stimulation (1993 Love Mix) is a GREAT tune to me, but I'm not sure if it deserves being #1

Age of Love Jam & Spoon Stella Remix, GREAT tune as well, but not sure if it deserves being #2.

Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Three N' One mix).... yeah never got into this track. always found it boring, no disrespect to Cosmic Baby who worked on it. It may be iconic for many others, but not me. i'll try getting into it again. I heard this tune live back in 2008 at a show ATB was playing.

Hardfloor - Acperience... GREAT GREAT GREAT tune, honestly it shouldve been up on the list rather than #10.

Wanted to ask if anybody else has any thoughts on darktremor or his list, now in late 2025?

If Love Stimulation and Age Of Love get 10/10, then Netherworld and Suburban Train deserve 11/10 imo. The classic trance era was legendary, and I also like how trance evolved with the huge, meticulous buildups and breakdowns.

the customer is always rght in matters of taste. everyone has a different top 400 list.

a top 400 list is too ambitous. i think favorite 100 is more than enough in no particular order. top 400 in order is kind of silly but i'm sure whomever he is/was young
