Tisto Announces New Album, Returns to Trance Roots With Bring Me To Life:
This moment feels more authentic and exciting than ever and I cant wait for all thats to come, Tisto said.
Tisto has revealed a new album and released its first single, Bring Me To Life, effectively crystallizing his long-awaited return to the trance genre that built his career three decades ago.
The Dutch electronic music icon built his reputation in trance during the early 2000s with generational anthems like Adagio For Strings and Lethal Industry before shifting toward more commercial house and dance-pop sounds. That transition brought mainstream success but left many longtime fans clamoring for a callback to his earlier work.
Bring Me To Life dropped today following a cryptic social media campaign and revival of an old logo from Tistos 1999 Innercity Amsterdam performance, which had the EDM community buzzing the week prior. Its a euphoric, vintage trance anthem with quivering synths and haunting vocals from Swedish singer-songwriter FORS, who portrays the struggle to feel alive after a transformative bond has ended, trapped in a body that remembers.
He made me feel like it was possible, that our connection would become deeper, she sings with ache. The possibility got a piece of me, but my heart was always empty.
The question now centers on whether this represents a temporary detour or a sustained creative shift. Tistos career has been marked by calculated pivots between genres, and his willingness to evolve has kept him at the forefront of the global EDM scene. However, all signs point to a full-blown resurrection of the trance era that defined him.
My connection to dance music has never been stronger, said Tisto. Playing these new sounds live and feeling the energy from the crowd has been unbelievable! Its pushed me into this new era and inspired the direction of both the single and the album. This moment feels more authentic and exciting than ever and I cant wait for all thats to come.

Perhaps it's not a surprise at this point, but he actually played textbook uplifting trance in his first episode of Prismatic. The track at 30 minutes sounded nostalgic:
