New Tranceaddict saying hi

I used to drop by this forum 20ish years ago in my college days as a lurker.

It was a great place to discover new music and totally opened up my eyes to the underground dance world.

For the next 2 decades of my life I spent chasing money and the dream of settling down buying a home and starting a family.

This led me to moving to Miami in 2018 at which time I reconnected with the dance scene and starting going to house and techno shows again.

Last month my world changed when my wife and I split up. In my whirlwind of emotions and confusion I came to the decision that moving forward I want to dedicate my time, love and energy to music. Discovering music, mixing music, sharing music and maybe even creating music.

So this brought me back to these forums, the place responsible for setting my taste decades ago, a taste which still defines my identity in many ways.

Glad to be here.

I'm wondering that myself. This forum is nearly dead. Anyone who truly lurked here would NEVER come in and reveal so much personal shit right away. It is not beyond certain people to put so much effort into executing such a deception. In fact, the kind of person who would do it doesn't even need a good reason.

I got divorced just over a month ago. Ive been on a bender since then. Far from sober. Im not very rational at the moment, and going back in time in my head. All I know is I want to dedicate my life to music moving forward and this is the place where I discovered my love for house and techno music. It was where I learned about all the new underground djs , and now Im hoping that this could be a good entry point into the community.
