I highly doubt this, seeing as how Dan announced last years party months in advance. Neither of them have any bookings within two days of the 25th though, so it's always possible.

i have heard something about this as well, hoping for an update on it soon (from the bird).

Not sure whose screwup that was, but when you are spending that much on tickets, you have a right to be pissed off.

Yeah I noticed the change in drink tickets yesterday.
The older VIP tickets did mention "Limited Availability"

I also noticed this just as well.

"- 1 free Complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant, 24 Grill"

I'm not sure if this was included in the older VIP tickets.

The Dan Bell thing was apparently a preposting of an event floating around on RA a while ago, but now it's gone. I don't think it's happening.

There is something going on at Oslo Monday night though. Not sure who is playing.

Also, anyone else as dissatisfied as I am with the RenCen?
Courtyard was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy nicer

Overall I had a really good time this year. Staying until Tuesday made it a much more pleasant experience this year now that we live out of town. The music was good, the vibe was good and there was a minimal amount of drama.

Highlights of the weekend:
Chloe Harris (Ambient / Electronica Set)
Marco Corola
Wighnomy Bros
Kevin Saunderson (Actually played a modern day set with the same old school vibe)
Steve Bug
VIP Drink Tickets
Loco Dice Vs. Luciano
Boat Party

Lowlights:
Waiting an hour to get our VIP wristbands
Derrick May (Vinyl “skippage” FTL)
Old Miami (Just wasn’t feeling it this year)

Tech House (I'm so damn sick of it its crazy. Honestly I want it to die .. in a ball of flames sort of way). This shit has got to stop. Its completely unoriginal and boring. My grandmother could mix the shit if i gave her some decks. Yes its easy to dance, mindlessly for hours on end but mindless is the keyword there. I understand some of my highlights are artist that may play it but they at least do it well. Every one else that plays it .. well .. you suck and need to do something different with your time.

Derrick has never been able to mix worth a crap.... I wasn't surprised. I still tried to make the most of it and danced on the flagpole stand.

What did your highlight people play, if not tech house or a form of it?

Right now I am in a kinda tribal-house-techno kinda groove as a DJ... have been for about 8 months. It makes me want to drink strawberry daquaris and be at a beach.

AND..... I need a picture of you... I KNOW that you saw me. I was dressed in 80s workout gear for most of the day Sunday and then for the boat party I had a sailorgirl outfit with the sailor cap on like all my friends were wearing. I was also at old miami in a blue striped tank top with a headband....

He can have his moments which is what I was hoping for. Well that didn't happen but we dealt with it as long as we could then just ended up bouncing.

I would say most played some form of techno on top of what I said. If not they played it well (like i said). Bark.
