nope, kaskade - sorry (dirty south remix)
- M&S rocked open and close. They know that room better than anyone else. Supertramp FTW
- I'd say Kaskade had 2 moments of absolute brilliance, time stood still in the club and everyone was in awe.
- Some really original tunes from Kaskade, a ton of overdone vocals but they were all very fresh sounding, some weird ones tho (Spektrum - Kinda New and Royksopp - What Else Is There?). They just seemed random and out of place.
- His last 35 mins were pretty dope, like ultra slow (118 BPM), night time glam sexy beats. Everyone was in a daze.
- Kaskade brought out the women, there was like a 5 to 1 girls to guys ratio last night bahah
- His exit was probably the quickest, most abrupt I've ever seen, security ran him out like he was the President lol
- Nelly Furtado was in the club. Can anyone else confirm?
Tunes
Kaskade - Be Still <------ HOLY FUCKING TUNE, vocals don't get much better than this folks
Kaskade - Everything (Big Room Mix) <---- brought the house down, wow
Sneaky Sound System - Pictures (Tonite Only Remix) <-- one of the best electro/crunch songs ever made
Nelly Furtado - All Good Things Come to An End (Kaskade Remix?) <-- sick
Madonna - Jump (Axwell Remix) <- well programmed in, it sounded fresher than ever
Kaskade - In This Life
Kaskade - Stars Align (Andy Caldwell Remix)
Sunfreakz - Countin Down the Days (Axwell Remix)
Depeche Mode - I Just Can't Get Enough (Dirty South Remix)
Spektrum - Kinda New (Tiefshwarz Remix)
Royksopp - What Else is There? (Trentemoller Remix)
Kaskade - Sorry (Dirty South Remix)
Late Night Alumni - Empty Streets (not sure which remix)
- Lyrics "new york blockin beats" something to that extend (Toby help)
Overall, I wasn't blown away by Kaskade, but he did bring something really different/ fresh to the table. There was a real sense of "meh I want it harder, but it's nice to hear this right now", his sound really complimented the space. His mixing and stage presence were kind of avg and like I mentioned his quick exit left a bad taste in my mouth. BUT in the end I'll let the tunes speak for themselves, and classify last night as a quality/memorable set! A lot of those tracks will be around for a while.
