Hey all, Happy Summer's Solstice

I wanted to share a project that has been decades in the making & am proud to say is finally seeing the Light of Day.

Title: “Prelude to Opus” [1999] is a trance track influenced by the sounds of Twilo, reflective of late 90's Silver era of trance.

"Produced in 1999, this unreleased, progressive trance archival track bridges the hypnotic, atmospheric journey with emotional melodic arc, evolving countermelodies, anchored by tough drums.”

For a variety of reasons, life got in the way, and it never got an official release back then. This proved to be especially true in the aftermath of 9-11.

Fast forward to today: I finally unearthed the project and decided to give it the proper vinyl release it was originally meant to have.

I wanted to treat the production with the analog respect of that era. We took it to the Exchange. London for a proper audiophile mastering and cut it at 45RPM. Production wise, it’s built around a hypnotic, melodic ostinatos and an offbeat groove, but we tuned the kick drum specifically to 63Hz to ensure the sub-bass translates with that heavy, thunderous club weight on a proper system.

Originally limited to 5 white labels promos, people have asked if I’d ever put it out on vinyl over the years which encouraged me to put out a small, limited retail run & thus, the right opportunity came about in finally giving this track its due in proper fashion.
