I was looking something up on youtube and stumbled upon these two themes from rogue spear and raven shield - some of the best title tracks I'd ever heard in any video game, and it triggered some crazy shiver-inducing nostalgic flash.

Can't forget the Wipeout games on PS1! Those were true classics..blazing fast futuristic races and perfect racing music. Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Underworld, Junkie XL, Fluke, Photek, Prodigy, etc.
Here's a couple choonz from the game:

That track was just pure magic, brings back a load of nostalgia . I'd never actually heard the full-orchestral version, only the midi version that was on the original soundtrack taken straight from the game.
I'd read somewhere that Aeris' death was amongst the most shocking video-game deaths in history. It was rather emotional, especially when your a hormonal 15 year-old playing the game for the first time
Another one of my faves, is from another one of Square's epic's, "Xenogears".

Oh man, don't get me started. I had her in my party the entire game. I took my time with FF7 and had been playing around 45 hours before it happened. I had her leveled up so much...with all the best limit breaks. She was healing and reviving my entire party like crazy...basically making us immortal. I expected to have her with me through the whole game. She was also one of the most pivotal characters in the story...the only one with the power (Holy) to stop Sephiroth. Needless to say, I was shocked when it happened..

FF7 still gives me chills to this day.

Have you guys seen the ps3 tech demo they did of the opening?
Imagine the possibilities with 13.
