LP Weekend Review (From a Miami/NYC Clubber) Need a ? Answered
Ok Im from Ny, (Clubbing for years there) Live in Miami for 3 WMC's.
Got to Say WOW, Beautiful city, nice people love it....
The Parade was great way better then ultra, better vibe, very free fealing no problems, LOVED the Fair grounds wow.... So nice to have such a great location for an event..
BUT
WTF
Went to Carl Cox @ Ruby Skye
Cox rocked it but what a shit crowd, Wasted Guys everywhere... Half the people did not know who was playing....
Just no Vibe, no feeling, HORRIBLE VENUE, Echoy sound, Bad set up.. Half assed IMO
Friends said that the civic center after party had the same vibe...
WTF Very Curious Y?

Welcome to Ruby Skye...where unless on rare occasions, it gets that type of crowd for the most part. :-p Sound issues there? Hmmm, usually top-notch sound at Ruby.
I was too tired to really think about the vibe at the Civic Center party ;-p

Ruby Skye is the touristy club around here, I notice a lot of people go more for the venue than the headliner. The vibe at that place is hit or miss, but I manage to have fun when I ignore the bad/pushy crowds. The Spundae afterparty crowd was kind of gross/scary. Lots of e-puddles and tweaked out kids. I saw a grown woman literally 'rollin' around on wet nasty floor and that really killed it for me.

Oh Rich, if you think that was bad, then you should go to Monster Massive or Together As One...or any GoVentures massive which is all ages.
E-Puddles EVERYWHERE. It's kinda disturbing. At least 15-20 times more epuddles, and HUGE ones...from 5 people to 30 people per pile. Not to mention someone coming up to you every 4-5 minutes asking for one of the following: 1) If you want to enter a whole new realm, 2) If they can hug you (seriously), or 3) if they can have some of your water (GROSS!).
Knowing that, I thought the amount at the party Saturday night was very tolerable, lol.

yeah i really shouldn't have gone to the skills after party...i still can't believe people do that shit...ravers in their 20's wearing funfur and pacifiers while spinning glowstciks...lol what a farce....6 years late guys. damn newbie ravers!!!!!! i felt sooo out of place.
if ya want rad parties with great vibes i really like the Stompy/sunset/fully loaded parties, any opel event, get freaky!!!!, and stuff that goes down at mighty or mezzanine......there are alot of great crowds just not very many with trance. AVB sunday at ruby skye should be good as the weekend crowd will be back home sleeping in the suburbs...muahahaha
Yeah, I agree it can be distracting/annoying. So if those sights bother you, just go in front of the stage and don't look back! That's what I do

Thanks for the response, was just a huge downer, had a possible club position in San Fran and loved everything except the clubbing vibe/culture. I understand alot is underground which is awesome but not when you want to make a profession from it.... Back to Miami wich me luck bringing the new techno/tech house/electro sound here.....
Thanks for a great time san fran, will be back next yr
