best eq effect

I was wondering what you guys think the best eq for clearing up a mix (namely cutting highs and lows) is better and explain why. then what about boosting or mastering which are completely different stories ? i'm between voxengo gliss, waves q10, sony oxford, tc native and ozone. Other suggestions ?
