Problem with midi controller

I have an M-Audio Ozonic Midi Controller, and I use it with fruity loops.

When I play a key on the keyboard, it will play the key that is next to theone that I played.

For example, if I hit the key of C5, instead it will play the black key that is next to C5.

This seem to happened out of the blue, I was using my midi controller, and it was workign fien, suddenly next day when I woke up it had this problem.

IS this a problem with fruity loops or my midi controller..

How can I solve this problem.

Thanks.

sounds like you have some transposition going...

actually I have an emu xboard...and when I press edit...and then the key with semitone transpose, I can use the data slider to transpose the whole keyboard +/- 64 semitones...maybe it's your problem...or you might have something like that setup in FL?
I don't know if it's possible it's all ableton for me

Wow that's rather strange. Sure it's not a software error?

Did you try contacting the company and see what they had to say? Maybe it's faulty.

New or had it for a while?

Well, until you can figure it out you can use a workaround. Whenever you open a new instance of a synth or sample in fl, just set the reference key one semitone lower (i don't remember exactly what its called, but its on the tab in fl on the synth/sampler that has the keyboard on the bottom. Its either the 2nd or 3rd tab. Just left click on B5 and everything you play on that synth/sampler will be transposed up by one semitone.)

Well, somewheres along the line, your midi signal is being altered.

I'll have to wait until I can play with my FL to see how it deals with midi signals, but your problem may be that a fader in the program is in the wrong place, and is saved as the default. It's hard to say.

It's strange, I disconnect the cables from the midi controller, and it's working fine again.

I don't knwo fi ti was beacuse of that, or it was somethign else.

Anyway if this keep happening, I'll try to do the transpose.

Thanks for the advice and everyone elese who replied.
