It really didn't need to be done, however if you're going to rework some old songs, may i suggest
strike - u sure do
doop - doop
it seems nothing is safe from nobody. This will go down I'm afraid as big a travesty as karen overton's debauchery of billie ray martin

As a cover it's not horrible, but it's not interesting either. It just makes me wanna listen to the Todd Terry club mix or the original instead.

Like it or not but it was at least a new and different take on the original material, not just an attempt at doing it like the original was done. I really like Karen Overton's version but i don't think the original is anything special at all.

I understand that, but since you're not so much a fan of the original, then it's probably why. I love the voice in Billie's version, it's how i've always known it to be, and i found the overton version cold & boring.

The Overton cover is horrendous, the vocal line goes nowhere. most overrated tune of 2006
The original is SoundFactory NYC classic, i grew up with that tune

likewise here, it was one of 'the' songs of it's era. On most cd compilations, radio stations etc. it was just perfect. I think it was the wrong song to cover, maybe something obscure would've been better but to me i'm always hearing the originals and that's not a good thing for the new remixers
