Adam Solomon - Journey To The Core (Part 1) [Dubstep, UK Funky, Future Garage]
Hey Guys,
This is a little project I've been working at for a few weeks now that I am glad to finally put out. I re-recorded this several times over because I really wanted it to be as perfect as possible. Inspiration came largely from Scuba's last LP, Triangulation, which I found had conveyed such a strong sense of descending deep, deep under ground. I loved the feeling and wanted to expand on it a little bit with this mix. Dark and light, stripped-down yet lush at the same time. I hope that you will enjoy listening to this, and look forward to the second part, which will be more techno/deep house. Hopefully I'll be able to get it done in the next few weeks.
Also, I know I've been kind of slacking in terms of listening to other TA mixes lately but I should have more opportunities to do so as of now.
SBTRKT & Sampha - Evening Glow [Ramp Recordings]
Jack Sparrow - Torment [Tectonic]
Scuba - Latch [Hotflush Recordings]
Blawan - Iddy [Hessle Audio]
Joe - Untitled [Apple Pips]
Ramadanman - I Beg You [Hessle Audio]
Appleblim & Al Tourettes - Lipsmacker (Deadboy Remix) [Aus Music]
J:Kenzo - Tropic Thunda [Argon Records]
Instra:mental - Vicodin [Naked Lunch]
Jose James - Warrior (Jus Wan Remix) [Brownswood Recordings]
Headhunter & Djunya - El Presidente [Surefire Sound]
Komonazmuk - Dance Too [Apple Pips]
Peverelist - Better Ways of Living [Punch Drunk]
George Fitzgerald - Weakness [Hotflush Recordings]
Aftermoon - Last Breath [Tube10 Recordings]
Dark Arx - Streak [Dark Arx]
Asusu - Togetherness [Immerse Records]
Kode9 - You Don't Wash (Dub) [K7 Records]
SBTRKT & Sampha - Evening Glow (Reprise) [Ramp Recordings]
Sigha - Light Swells (In A Distant Space) [Hotflush Recordings]
And I know that some will say that I "played it safe" with the track selection. I don't see it that way. I honestly think that I've gathered some of the best stuff out there to have come out more recently, and that's why I've included it.

Thanks man. I actually started listening to your last set a few nights ago but fell asleep in the process. I can tell you that I was extremely impressed with what I had heard though, and you can expect a review in the coming days

I agree with this. Definitely not the most obscure tracks ever, but not too obvious either. The quality makes up for it.

i just listened to this. the mixing is ludicrously good for dubstep, especially for one spun live. around 15minutes the mix really kicks in for me. it goes kind of up and down between atmospheric and more glitchy/heavy tracks which makes it feel like some tracks are treated strictly as filler until the next choon.
waiting up for the next techno mix, i'm liking the direction this project is going.

i think i should add something after listening again. the mixing is deadly, but there is too much emphasis i think on getting from track to track. sometimes it feels like the set is divided into sections that are punctuated by tracks that fit, but do nothing for the flow.
