More than likely it's a latency issue. I'm not sure how you go about changing the latency settings in Cubase. Google "Fixing Cubase latency problems" or something along them lines and you will get a good idea of what to do next. The settings you chose are completely up to you.

Yeah, go under the hood. not sure if cubase uses ASIO4all, but you need to go into there, or w/e other interface cubase runs through and play with the buffer size and mps
