u might want to consider the pice/GB ratio of this drive vs. larger ones.

Last time i bought one (Spring 2002) the 120GB's were the best deal. I think right now 160-180 GB's are cheap.

Well, that ratio is only good if you are using up all of hard-drive's space.. my utilization ratio is usually only 40%, and by the time it gets to 100%, a few years pass by, and I need to buy a new computer anyways..


IMHO, the best thing to do is to get an average hard drive(60GB) and if you run out of space back up your MP3s/videos to CDs.. This is much better than leaving all your stuff on HDD and wait for it to crash.
