-ok
-well, its not really trance or any kind of edm, not suppose to be, i wanted to keep it simple for my vocalist to sing over (so it wouldn't seem like too much going on at once)
thanks for the comments.

RJ.. did you say vocals???
Im also playing with vox in a mix and lemme tell ya...its tough!!
This one will sound sweet with vocals I think... you gotta female vocalist?
I like the instrument you used for the melody (vocal line)...what is that? I think it needs to be sharper in the mix...more prominent. It shouldnt be in the way of your vox.
Also I notice some high freq white noise kinda interference on that lead synth. When it stops playing, the noise goes away. Tough to tell whether its just an envelope setting or what because of the bitrate, but at 4:07 its totally gone.
The percs are great...crisp and hard! Nice work here I'd say but empty without the vocals.
Check out mine if you don't mind! I'd like to hear from someone who likes vocals. |
thanks for the comments. And actually it's a male vocalist. Who? You wouldn't believe it, my friend from my 4th block class in school. He's actually pretty good.
And yep, thats how I like my percussion to be, HARD and LOUD w/ a nice snare .
And sure, I'll check out your latest stuff.

can you lemme know once you've sewn this one up? I wouldnt mind getting a copy of your finished remix. Personally, I think it'll be better than the original! |
Ah, wont be till another month i'm afraid, I posted in the Production Studio that my mixer died, and I have no idea how to convert an XLR cable (the ones for studio mic's) into regular RCA's. So basically the mic we use is useless unless we buy another rack or find some way to convert from XLR to RCA, and if we ever did find some type of adapter, I think it would be out of our price range... basically we're both are poor as hell, and we're saving up every single penny we can get.
We got so pissed because this was the first project we were gonna add vocals to (we both love this song, almost obsessed, so we decided to make a version of our own) and the mixer just died, so, until then, it'll remain a vocal-less track, but not forever. So, be on the look out for a new thread that'll be something like "Bittersweet Symphony (Trick-e & Flare Remix)" (yeah i know, weird names, but we're mostly a rap/hiphop project)
laters.
