Hey mate!
Listened to your track. First thing that comes in mind: It is a prodigy kind of trancy track. There are some heavy synth melodies in it.
I do not like the snaredrum you use, I don't mean the riff because that is quite heavy but the sort of snaredrum you use, it sounds to cheap. the bass sound could also be fuller and more pulsating
The melodybuilding from 1.50 to the end of the track is quite good. The synths could be better and the sound is not really trancy. But if you were able to master this track better and get a fuller more trebled sound this track is quite original.
It is neither trance, nor breakbeat, nor techno so you created something rather original. But really you have an original approach to making a song and I bet you will only become better.
Cheers,
Nomen Nescio
For the rest the track is quite short.

Hey! Great reply! You kick a** for taking the time to write this.
Sounds like your conclusion is the same as mine, the production could be alot better. I used Reason 1.0 to make it, I have like $0 for equipment...Do you have any suggestions for better tones/samples?
Also, is there a place where people have fun remixing tracks such as this...I'd love to hear what somebody with good production skills could do with my stuff. Oh yeah, and I know it's just a demo of the track, so that's why it be so short.
Well, I'm very new to creating this genre of music and I'd like to say thanks for the help.

You're welcome mate! a lot of people here on trance addict only seem to comment on tracks when they already know each other. It is very lame some times.
I do not work with reason so I can't really help you with tones/samples. I work with FL Studio and have a bunch of good VST's which help me a great deal in creating good sounding trance. And there are also numerous kick and perc samples you can download for free on the internet.
Keep up the work and keep being original en try to find someone who also works with Reason and who can perhaps help you spice up your sound!

well this isn't my style of music, but it sounds good.
i think it needs slightly more bass overall, especially on the bass-line itself.
i really like the way the track improvises though.

Sound/production quality is really good. |
It is nice to hear that, seems with enough work I could make some decent tracks. I can't wait to get my hands on some better software/hardware. Reason 1 is a tad limiting.

Nemesis, thank you for the in depth analysis.
| quote: | | I find the kick incredibly weak |
I definatley will change the kick next time around
| quote: | | There is also no noteworthy bassline that gives it that dancable element so that would be a downer in my book. |
Yeah, I've been workng on that. It has been hard to create a bassline that doesn't clash with the rest of the song.
| quote: | | It could perhaps use a little variation but that's just my own preferance. |
Another good suggestion.
Thanks so much, the things you pointed out will help me in my next itteration of the song.
