Ooooohhh... this better be good, cos Genie is like my favourite track evooorr...

Nice intro. The bass your using is kinda different and I really like it. Has a cool electro feel to it.

Synths in the lead up arn't too crash hot imho. Sound a little too generic compared to the original ones. But this is a remix, so I'll go with it.

Breakdown... nice use of swelling pads... hihats come in a bit strong, could be faded in maybe. Building up... hmm... kinda a bit dissapointing. Needs some sweeps or something to build it up and disguise the transition a bit better.

Ah, theres the main melody. Fuck I love that melody. Sounds like you got a delay on it or something which is distorting it a tad.

You kinda keep building it up and dropping it down again which is a wee bit distracting. Would be nice to just let it rip for a few bars more here and there.

Overall not a bad rmx. I like the change in style and the percs really work for me. Not a fan of the lead synth though, it could be a bit fatter and clearer to really make sound a tad more recognisable.

My all-time favourite ever, without doubt. Don't expect me to treat you nicely on this one

Your kick isn't very good.
Bass needs more reverb.
Cool way of building up the tune.
Synths fading in at 1.20 needs MUCH more reverb!!
2min, ok here's a break. Nice FXs!!
Oh, the melody came a little sudden. You've ripped the remix-melody from Michael Splint's remix. Argh

This remix gave me nothing new. Respect for daring to remix this tune mate. I've tried many times, but it always turns out WAY lousier than the original. Because the original rocks!!!!!!!!!!

yea, genie rocks my world so I will have lots of critisism for you- dont think many/if any producer out there can make it better than the original.
the intro and first little bit rock, but then i don't like how you blended the main melody with the first one, the pads are cool- very nice sounding. Then the beat comes back and it sounds almost gone. where's the kick? the second synth u use for the main melody is pretty good, but then it comes back to the main theme again with the kick and not enough power, this track demands power, and its unfortunate that this one doesn't have enough.
