Percs sound very very natural, very tribal-like, just like it should be. It's very interesting you drop in the bass quite lately, but it works just fine.
Awesome (and I mean AWESOME!!) pads. They take me literally out of this world, and you used them very wisely, theyre fading out and coming back again. IMO the best thing about the track are the pads.
I like the really 'deep' overall mood this track has. All the sounds are chosen wisely and work quite well together. Despite all the homogenity, my very personal impression is that the pads sound very spacey whereas the percussion sounds quite natural. Did you intend that contrast? That does not need to mean a bad thing, in fact the track did quite capture me at around the 4 minute mark. I had the image of a shaman wandering over wide plains underneath the endless nightsky coming to my mind. Very obscure and mystic, I love that!
But then, the ending struck me quite unprepared. The piano part just doesnt seem to fit right in the whole track, you suddenly change almost everything. To me, the change from darkness to light might work better if you did this more slowly. In my opinion, the first four minutes were much better. And that gated pad in the end could be worked on a bit, it could sound less noisy and a bit.. juicier... But you should handle my personal impressions with care anyway, I'm producing semi-noise (Psy) .
Anyway, this track was very well done, keep it up!
