Hmm good to see a russian film make it to the cinemas overseas. Though I've heard that a lot of it doesn't make sense as some relatively important parts that were in the book on which it is based were left out.

i've never seen russian much of the russian arts, film, or novels. should be intersting

that's like the american distro of a Russian movie. I've seen the Russian version (had it translated as the movie went on by some friends of mine) and it is truly wicked. one of the coolest foreign films i've seen yet in that genre. apparently the book is really phenomenal too, but only avail. in russian (from what i can find) so kinda out of my league as my russian is not nearly good enough to tackle that.

DEFINITELY going to watch that film when it comes out.
