Virus Ti Owners

I just got my TI today. Is the modulation wheel suppose to be like really loose? Say if its all the way down and I push it up just a little bit, not quite halfway, it falls back all the way down. Is that how its suppose to be? Also. What am I suppose to do first? Install the cd software, then update the operating system using the software? Is that how you update the OS ? Gotta run back to work so wont be able to mess around with it for a couple of more hours, Thanks

yes that is how the mod-wheel feels. just go to the Access Virus site and download the latest software. The older software was complete crap anyways........dont even bother with it.

Ok cool. I was afraid the wheel was messed up or something. Thanks. I ended up getting it from zzounds.com. They were like the only people that had them actually in stock. Nice b-day present from my dad. Only took about 2 years of begging though haha. Time to go play...

Definitely get the latest OS if you haven't yet, as the other guy mentioned it's like a completely different synth without it (unless you enjoy massive amounts of bugs). Solid as fuck with the latest drivers though, I <3 it.

Well, im pretty pissed off now. As I was installing all the updates and such. I notice on the right top corner. The f**king wood is cracked. I called them and they are gonna send me a new one and i'll send the old one back but dam. Thats jacked up. At least I dont have to send mine back and then wait for a new one. Must have took a pretty hard lick though to crack the wood and that got me nervous enough incase something on the inside is messed up.

Ok, I got another question. Im a total newb to this thing. I never seen one untill today. I have everything installed / updated. I have my outputs from output 1 into my mixer but im getting no sound at all from the virus. Is there a button or something im missing? I have it in single mode. I scroll through the banks and press keys but still no sound. Im looking in the manual but it says to test out sounds, just scroll through the banks and thats not working. No sound is coming through headphones either. Sry for the newb questions.

I've tried usb. I've tried using the vst in cubase. I tried unplugging usb and using it directly into my soundcard. I get nothing. I dont know what is wrong. Maby that lick to it did mess something up on the inside.

Thats the thing. I get no sound from nothing at all. Headphones, speakers. Nothing. It looks like everything else works. You go through the patches. All the led's are working. I probally should have tried it before I went and updated everything just to make sure. I guess i'll just wait till they send me the new one and try that one out.
